Christian places of worship
Anglican Churches

Traditional Anglican worship in magnificent surroundings. Welcoming congregation and LGBTQ+ friendly.

Inclusive, warm church community with lively musical worship. Congregation made up of all ages but many students attend there. Openly affirming of LGBTQ+ people, offering a monthly service for LGBTQ+ Christians called 'Outside In'.

A collection of 5 churches in the city centre that all offer a warm welcome and services throughout the week. All Saints Pavement offer Choral Evening Prayer on Sundays which is particularly popular with students.
Roman Catholic Churches

Warm and welcoming Catholic church in the Tang Hall area of York. The parish priest is Father Bill Serplus, who is our Roman Catholic Faith Adviser here at York St John.
