Quiet places to study

There are many places to study on campus, including the University Library and general study areas. There are also specialist areas for some courses including psychology laboratories and art studios.

Here are some of the spaces on campus you may wish to study:

  • University Library: The third floor of the library is a silent floor, and is a very quiet area to study.
  • Holgate building: There are booths and tables located around the ground floor of the Holgate building. The building is open 24/7 and is a quiet place during evenings, weekends and holiday periods such as Easter.
  • De Grey building: The ground and first floors have desk areas, including computers to work on. These areas are typically quiet.
  • Students' Union (SU): The SU has a bar and café, both suitable for studying.
  • Quiet room in the chapel: This room is a very comfy, quiet room with controllable heating, a kitchenette with kettle, and a sofa. This is also a good space to relax.
